E-commerce integration
Dear CFO for Shopify
Orders, products, inventory, refunds and discounts from your store, beside your P&L and your ad spend, so margin is one picture instead of three tabs.
Read-only. Dear CFO never changes your store.
ShopifyWhat you can do
What Shopify data does inside Dear CFO
Margin, not just sales
Orders and line items next to your cost of goods and your ad spend, so you see what each channel and product actually earns.
Discounts and refunds, counted
Discounts and refunds are their own tables, so their drag on revenue is measured rather than guessed.
Inventory you can plan with
Inventory levels by location feed the model, so buying decisions start from what is actually on the shelf.
What syncs
What Dear CFO reads from Shopify
- Locations
- Products
- Product variants
- Inventory levels
- Customers
- Orders
- Order line items
- Transactions
- Refunds
- Discounts
Full order history and customer records need an extra approval from Shopify. Until it is granted, Shopify returns the last 60 days of orders, and the integration page says what is missing.
In full, Dear CFO copies orders, products, inventory, discounts, refunds and customers, including customer names, email addresses, phone numbers and marketing-consent status. How it is stored and protected is in our privacy policy.

Questions
Shopify and Dear CFO
Why do I only see 60 days of orders?
Shopify limits apps to the last 60 days of orders until it approves access to full order history. Once approved, the full history syncs.
Can I use my custom domain to connect?
Use the store’s .myshopify.com address. Custom domains point at the same store but are not accepted by Shopify’s sign-in.
Does Dear CFO change anything in my store?
No. Every permission it requests is read-only.
